BLUE STAR BY-WAY MARKER PLANTING

The Macedon Garden Club placed a Blue Star By-Way Marker in Macedon in 2012 at the Town Complex. Using a grant from the 7th District for $350 we will be maintaining, planting and adding to the horticulture around the stone. The club members have designed a red, white & blue design for 2018-2019.

THE STAR

Macedon Garden Club also has a project located at Lock 30, Macedon, on the Erie Canal. A star shaped planter is planted and maintained every year with annuals and perennials. Visitors to the area can admire the beauty of the planting when they are visiting Lock 30 on the Erie Canal. We maintain the star at Lock 30 in Canal Park in honor of Barbara Herendeen. This Civic Beautification project means a great deal to us and a special handmade plaque was placed at the site for Barb.

GARDENING BAG FOR THE LIBRARY

Patrons of the Macedon Library will be able to borrow special bags that we will maintain containing a seasonal children's book on gardening, a shovel, seeds and gardening gloves for the parent and child.
